Wall Street's tokenization service is live, for institutions
DTCC's Tokenization Service went live on Oct 28, 2026, with 20 DTC Participants signed up. It covers Russell 1000 stocks, major index ETFs and US Treasuries under a Dec 11, 2025 SEC staff no-action letter. It is not a retail product, so it doesn't change what you can buy in your state today.

Can I buy tokenized stocks in the US?
Some. Dinari dShares (through Dinari Securities, an SEC-registered broker-dealer) and Securitize Stocks (through Securitize Markets, an SEC-registered broker-dealer) are offered to eligible US investors. Robinhood Stock Tokens and Kraken xStocks are not offered to US persons.
Are Robinhood Stock Tokens available in the US?
No. Robinhood says its Stock Tokens are not offered in the United States or to US persons.
Can Americans buy Kraken xStocks?
No. Kraken says xStocks are "not available in the U.S. or to U.S. persons."
Can US investors buy Ondo USDY or OUSG?
USDY: no, it is sold under Regulation S and excludes US persons. OUSG: only if you are both an accredited investor and a qualified purchaser.
Can I buy tokenized Treasuries as a regular US investor?
Franklin's BENJI (FOBXX) is a registered US money fund sold to US residents through the Benji app, $20 minimum on Stellar, if the fund is eligible for sale in your state. It can't be held in an IRA.
Can I buy tokenized gold (PAXG) in my state?
Robinhood lists PAXG in the US except New York. We haven't checked other platforms' state lists yet.
What did the SEC change for tokenized stocks?
On Sept 17, 2026 the SEC issued an Innovation Exemption to help trading of tokenized NMS stocks and asked for comment. Three venues have filed notices with the SEC (list checked Nov 4, 2026); we have not yet confirmed any US venue trading under it.
What is the DTCC Tokenization Service?
DTC launched it on Oct 28, 2026 for banks and brokers (DTC Participants), not for retail investors. It tokenizes Russell 1000 stocks, major index ETFs and US Treasuries under a Dec 11, 2025 SEC staff no-action letter.
Can I buy tokenized stocks or Treasuries in my state?
