How we check

• Sources: each app's own supported-states, help-center, license or terms page, plus regulator lists such as the NY DFS list of licensed virtual currency businesses.
• Labels: Yes the official source says residents can use it; Yes, with limits available but some features are not; No the source excludes the state; Unverified we could not confirm it from an official source, so we do not guess (these pages are kept out of search results).
• Dates: every answer shows when it was checked. Sources are re-fetched weekly and changes are logged on What changed.
• Independence: some links are affiliate links; they never change a status.
